Hair lost problem is not only for adult problems. Newborns was also able to have the same problem.. But you must know, that hair lost in infants is generally normal.
Babies tend to lose their hair early in life. As same as adults, infants also have hair growth period and stop to grow.. In the case of a newborn,all the hair follicles enter a period of rest at the same time. But there are certain conditions that can cause hair lost in newborns.
Here are the causes of hair lost in infants:
* Tinea capitis.
It's Commonly known as ringworm of the scalp and a fungal infection that's commonly seen in children. This looks like a scaly patches and may look like black dots on the scalp.
* Alopecia Areatals.
It's a condition that causes hair lost allegedly caused by the immune system attacks the hair follicles.
* Trichotillomanials.
It's the lost of hair as a result of strong encouragement for pulling hair. Trichotillomania is a compulsive behavior, which may stem from the emotional stress or physical stress.
* Sleeping position.
Sleeping in the same position for several hours at a time can also be one cause of the lost of a baby's hair.
* Stress, fever, and hormonal changes.
Approximately 5 to 15 percent of the hair on the scalp will usually have a resting phase at anytime. But stress, fever or hormonal changes can cause large amounts of hair stop growing once. Dates in the baby's hair generally begins when entering the stage at about age of growth . Vitamin H or Biotin is a vitamin B complex which helps the body to convert carbohydrates into glucose to fuel the body. Zinc, essential minerals, which are involved in various aspects of cellular metabolism. It also supports the growth and development of the baby's hair during pregnancy, childhood and adolescence.
Endocrine Problems in some children, the causes of hair lost is caused by hypothyroidism. a condition where the thyroid gland is underactive and the low amount of thyroid hormone to meet metabolic needs.
To overcome the problem of hair lost in infants, you can work by a variety ways:
* Use a pillow in your baby with a horse shoe shape.
* Massage with oil.
Massaging your baby's head with oil does not prevent hair lost, but may help blood circulation in the scalp.
* Shave.
Shave baby's hair does not mean there is no guarantee hair grow thicker or reduced its lost. But with hair shaved at least there is the possibility of having no hair lost at all.
* If it is possible you can try to change the baby's sleeping position after some time.
* If your baby's hair lost continues, better consult to a doctor.
